Mostra personale Masaaki Hasegawa e mostra collettiva "Art is Now" alla Galleria360
( Papa Benedetto XVI )

"Don't only practice your art, but force your way into its secrets, for it and knowledge men can raise to the divine." ( Ludwig van Beethoven)
The Galleria360, during the White Night in Florence, proposes an unmissable double date: the solo exhibition of Japanese artist Masaaki Hasegawa and "ART is NOW", a group exhibition of international artists.
The inauguration will be held on Thursday 30th of April 2015 starting at 19:00 at the Galleria360, via il Prato 11r Florence; during the event jazz musicians'll play live animating the evening and creating a happy blend of Art and Music.
Guest for the second time of Galleria360, Masaaki Hasegawa in his solo exhibition, he'll showcase new works, through which, in addition to the refined technique, it will be possible appreciate the evolution of style and the artistic maturation of the Japanese painter. After having long worked as an architect in Japan, his native land, Masaaki Hasegawa remains fascinated by the striking beauty of Mount Fuji and, experiencing the magic of its colors, undertakes an innovative pictorial research focused on color and shape. Color and form can't exist separately in the composition. By the skillful combination of these two essential components, not only spring a pictorial composition balanced and harmonious, but through the privileged relationship of both elements are also enhanced observer's emotions and feelings. The artist will be present at the opening, during which he'll illustrate to the present people the special technique, bold combination of East and West, with which he creates his works.
"ART is NOW", through the work of talented international artists, instead shows how the current art scene is extremely rich, varied and in close connection with the many cultural and artistic stimuli that characterize our contemporaneity.
Walter Benjamin said that the artwork is that which exists in a specific "hic et nunc".
"ART is NOW" is an exhibition that affirms the "here and now" of the artworks, that is, of their unique and unrepeatable existence in the place where they are generated. In fact each work was born in a distant and unknown place of the mind, but is embodied and lives in the historical present in which it was created, and for this, it'll always bring upon itself the stigmata of cultural and social processes of its time. Therefore, the contemporary artist has the duty and the opportunity to design an artwork for the present, for the "today"; but at the same time the artist who "will not only practice his art" (L. Van Beethoven), who will be capable of being a forerunner, a visionary and in the right measure an innovator instead, the artist able to go "beyond " that "hic et nunc," forcing his art into its secrets" will create masterpieces; namely artworks that can open the eyes of the mind and heart, to push gently us upwards. After all, "the art is able to express and make visible the human need to go beyond what is seen, manifests the thirst and the search for the infinite. Indeed, it's like an open door to the infinite, to a beauty and a truth that go beyond the everyday life. "(Pope Benedict XVI)
