Concert & Jazz Ensemble from Canada.
On Saturday March 21 2015 a very special concert will take place in the St. Mark's English Church, Florence.
The 'Panorama Ridge Secondary School Concert & Jazz Ensemble' are from Central Surrey, Vancouver, Canada and it is their first time of travelling to Europe with their music department.
In March they have planned a special trip: Milan, Florence and Rome will be visited. During this trip they will give several free performances. One of the highlights is the concert in the St. Mark's English Church in Florence.
Purpose of this journey is mainly to share their music and meet other people. The 'Panorama Ridge Secondary School Concert & Jazz Ensemble' is directed by the successful Ronald Davis and consists of 51 young musicians in the age between 14 and 18.
The repertoire of the Concert & Jazz Ensemble repertoire contains a mix of sacred, classical and modern music:
- Ubi Caritas
- Les Misérables Medley
- Lascia Ch'io Pianga- Handel
- Little Big Gumbo- Lopez
- St. Louis Blues- Handy
- Amazing Grace
